Sunday's Louisiana Classics Game With Purdue Moved to 11 a.m. Start

LAFAYETTE – The fifth-ranked Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball program announced on Monday that Sunday's game against Big 10-member Purdue in the 19th Annual Louisiana Classics tournament has been changed to an 11 a.m. start time.
The game, originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m., was moved to 11 a.m. in order to accommodate Purdue's flight arrangements on Sunday, Feb. 20.
As a result, the Mississippi Valley-Nicholls State game that was originally scheduled for 11 a.m. will now be played as the tournament finale at 1:30 p.m.
The 19th Annual Louisiana Classics – featuring No. 5 Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi Valley State, Nicholls State and Purdue – will be held Friday-Sunday, Feb. 18-20 at Ragin' Cajuns Softball Park. The tournament begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18 when Mississippi Valley and Purdue meet.
The fifth-ranked Ragin' Cajuns (8-0), led by 2004 first-team All-American Brooke Mitchell and an offense that sports a .371 average with 27 extra base hits, will begin play in the tournament on Friday at 4:30 p.m. against Mississippi Valley.
