Cajuns Holding Steady at No. 7 In ESPN.com Top 25 Poll

LAFAYETTE
– Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball team held onto its
spot from the previous week in the latest addition of
the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Softball Top 25
poll.The Ragin' Cajuns (32-4) were ranked No. 7 for the second consecutive week – the highest ranked among all of the NCAA Midwest Region teams.
UL Lafayette received 378 votes and remained ranked ahead of Washington, Stanford, Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida.
The ranking assures the Cajuns of a spot in the Top 10 of the national rankings for the ninth straight week.
No. 7 Louisiana-Lafayette opens Sun Belt Conference play this weekend as the Cajuns travel to Las Cruces, N.M., for a four-game, weekend series with New Mexico State Saturday-Sunday, April 10-11.
The Cajuns next home game is slated for Saturday, April 17 when Florida International provides the competition for the squad's Sun Belt home opener.
