The Tigers exploded for five runs in bottom half of the fourth to enforce the run rule and end the game early.
Erin Kalka threw four innings of one-hit softball striking out 11 Prairie View batters as she collected the win for the Tigers (4-11).
The Panthers (1-6) didn't help their own cause, committing a tournament-high eight errors including six miscues in the five-run fourth for the Tigers.
Three of the MU batters in the fourth inning got on base and made their way around the bags.
Ashley Hays led off the fourth reaching base on a throwing error by PV pitcher Trisha Anderson. Anderson's throw was high and sailed deep into the corner down the right field line allowing Hays to score and give MU a 5-0 lead.
Two batters later, Heather Kunkel lifted a fly ball to right field that PV's Nikki Lilly dove for and missed allowing the ball to roll all the way to the fence. Kunkel rounded the bases for an inside the park home run giving the Tigers an 8-0 lead.
On the next at, Morgan LeCluyse ended the scoring for the Tigers. She reached base on a fielding error by Lilly in right field and advanced over to third base. PV third baseman Kimberly Brooks missed the throw allowing LeCluyse to score for a 9-0 lead.
MU scored one run in the first inning when Leanne Bowers led off the bottom of the first with a solo home run that clanged off of the sign in right field.
The Tigers would put up a three-spot in the second to increase their lead to 4-0.
Missouri finished the Mardi Gras Classics with a 2-3 record.
