Amanda Jo White went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in a team-high two runs for the Tigers (3-10).
Samantha Fleeman tossed four innings scattering three hits while striking out six SFA hitters. Erin Kalka threw 2 2/3 innings of two-hit relief picking up the save for MU.
The Tigers struck for one run in the bottom of the first inning. A throwing error with two outs by SFA starter Nicole Carter allowed Heather Kunkel to score from second base to give MU a 1-0 lead.
The LadyJacks (4-6) evened the score with a run of their own in the fourth.
Carrie Woydziak led off the inning with a single to center field and then moved over to second on a wild pitch from Fleeman.
Crista Hargrove would fly out to left field for the first out. Woydziak would then steal third, but the throw down to the base by MU catcher A.J. White was low and bounced into left field allowing Woydziak to reach home with the tying run.
Missouri answered the bell with a run of its own in the bottom half of the fourth to reclaim the lead for good.
Back-to-back singles by Alli Kennewell and White gave the Tigers runners on first and second win no outs.
Kendra Power kept the hit parade going with a single down the right field line to score Kennewell with the eventual winning run,
Kalka was inserted with one out in the top of the fifth and proceeded to close the door on the LadyJacks.
Nicole Carter took the loss for SFA which had its season-high, four-game win streak snapped with the defeat. The LadyJacks also dropped their first tournament game and fell to 2-1 in round-robin play.
For Missouri the win was its first in the Mardi Gras Classic and moved them to 1-2 in tourney play.
Missouri will make it back-to-back games on the field as the Tigers turnaround and face the host-Ragin' Cajuns of No. 10 Louisiana-Lafayette (11-1) at approximately 7:30 p.m.
