from running back to cornerback in the spring of 2002…Possesses blazing speed
that caught the attention of many NFL scouts. Invited to 2003 Hula Bowl,
recovering an onside kick which led to a game-winning field goal.
2002:
Started all 12 games at corner finishing fourth on the team with 46 total
tackles, second with 34 solo stops…Tied for the team lead with eight pass
break-ups…Posted seven tackles in the opener at Texas A&M…Recorded a season-best
six solo stops at Middle Tennessee.
2001:
Speedy player was used on offensive side of the ball as a running back…Was
second on team with 323 yards…Also scored three touchdowns, including an
impressive 48-yard jaunt at Arizona State…Best day came at North Texas, rushing
for 91 yards on 11 carries...Scored on a 65-yard touchdown run and added a
game-high nine catches for 65 yards against the Mean Green…One week earlier,
tallied 92 yards versus New Mexico State, with a 20-yard touchdown run...As a
receiver, caught 18 balls for 125 yards...
High School: Was a three-year letterman as a running back,
defensive end, cornerback and kicker for head coach Dave Titos...Helped lead the
Commodores to appearances in the state playoffs in 1996-98...Commodores finished
10-1 in 1998...Named to the All-District 9-5A teams in 1997 and 1998...Was also
a three-year letterman at guard and small forward for head coach Bob Toranto...Helped
lead the Commodores to three straight playoff appearances from 1986-88 and a
25-6 record in 1998...Was an All-District 9-5A honoree in 1998.
