Cajuns Place Fourth in Sun Belt

CAJUN MEN'S TENNIS FINISHES FOURTH IN SUN BELT
MOBILE, Ala. – Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's tennis
team finishes the season with a fourth-place finish at the Sun Belt Conference
Championships after suffering a third-round 4-1 loss to No. 5 seed New Orleans.
The Cajuns were able to win the No. 2 and 3 doubles
matches to claim their only point of the match early on.
In singles, Johann van der Westhuizen and Michael
Tarkowski were both defeated in two-set matches by Mickael Chkroun and Abedin
Sham at the No. 3 and 4 spots.
At No. 5 singles Marc Castellana suffered a 6-3,
3-6, 6-4 loss to Andres Oding.
The Privateers were able to clinch the victory when
Gui Dumas claimed a 6-4, 0-6, 7-6(7-5) tiebreaker win over Bobby Hawkins at No.
6 singles.
Jakub Ilowski and Anthony Blache did not finish
their matches at the first two spots in the singles lineup.
