First UL player in any sport and one of only a few in college football history to have his jersey retired before his final college game (12/3/08 season finale against Middle Tennessee) … Became seventh player in NCAA Division I history to rush for over 1,000 yards in four different seasons (number now stands at 10), joining Tony Dorsett of Pitt, Amos Lawrence of North Carolina, Denvis Manns of New Mexico State, Ron Dayne of Wisconsin, Cedric Benson of Texas and DonTrell Moore of New Mexico as only four-time 1,000-yard rushers … All-time leading rusher in UL, Sun Belt Conference and State of Louisiana history and ranks second all-time in Sun Belt in rushing touchdowns … Sun Belt Player of the Year in 2008 and three-time All-Sun Belt first-team selection (2006-08) after being second-team and Sun Belt Freshman of the Year in 2005 … State of Louisiana Player of the Year in 2008 and three-time All-Louisiana selection … Set single-game rushing record with 297 yards on only 20 carries vs. ULM (10/4/08), the third highest total in Sun Belt history, and went over 300 yards and scored apparent fourth TD late in that game but was called back on holding penalty and did not get another carry ... Walter Camp Football Foundation National Player of the Week after scoring on runs of 89, 52 and 80 yards, the first one the seventh-longest in UL history … Had a UL-record 22 100-yard rushing games and has 10 of the top 50 single-game rush totals in school history including 194 vs. Kent State (2008), 183 vs. Kansas State (2008), 178 vs. Arkansas State (2006) and 172 vs. Fla. International (2006) that all rank in the top 30 all-time single-game totals … Rushed for 1,375 yards as a senior in 2008 to set school record, and also has fourth-best single-season total with 1,197 yards as sophomore in 2006 … Had 1,053 yards as freshman in 2005 when he became first UL running back to go over 1,000 yards, and 1,021 yards as junior in 2007 … 19 touchdowns in senior year in 2008 is tied for school record and is the most ever by a running back … 226 rushes in 2008 and 223 rushes in 2006 are third and fourth all-time … 808 career rush attempts is also school record, but with those and 868 career touches (60 receptions) he lost only four fumbles and did not lose one in his record-setting 2008 season … Twice had four straight 100-yard rushing games in 2005 and 2007, sharing another school record … Career totals of 808 rushes, 4,646 rush yards and 48 rush TD”s are still UL career records and career 294 points is third all-time … 19 TD’s as senior is second-highest in Sun Belt history and 114 points in a season is fourth-best … Led team in rushing and scoring three of his four seasons … Five times named Sun Belt Player of the Week and UL won Sun Belt Conference title in his freshman year but never had the opportunity to play in a bowl game … Had brief free agent stint with NFL’s Chicago Bears in 2009.
