Unquestioned leader of best offensive baseball team in Cajun history, and one many consider to be the best team in program history (although they came up one win short of matching the 2000 team’s trip to College World Series) … Led UL to 58-10 record, the most wins and best winning percentage (.853) in school history along with most wins in the country that season … Team never lost more than one game in a row until the final two games of NCAA Super Regional at Tigue Moore Field when Ole Miss won second and third games to advance to College World Series … Team went 26-4 for second-best record in Sun Belt Conference history, winning Sun Belt regular-season and tournament titles … Also won NCAA Lafayette Regional, where Conrad was named NCAA Regional tournament Most Valuable Player … Team hit .317 in that 2014 season, tying highest in “new bat” era, and had 734 hits (second-most), 530 runs (third-most) and 478 runs batted in (third-most) … Conrad was named consensus first-team All-America at second base by all five major A-A selections: ABCA/Rawlings, National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, Louisville Slugger, Baseball America and Perfect Game, something no other UL player has achieved … Also All-South Region that season and won both Sun Belt Conference and state of Louisiana Player of the Year honors, along with first-team All-Sun Belt and All-Louisiana … Two-time Sun Belt All-Tournament pick in 2013 and 2014 … Led 2014 team with .381 batting average – second-highest ever at UL in “new bat” era … Also led team with 96 hits, 20 doubles, 65 runs batted in and 22 stolen bases … Also led 2013 team in stolen bases (19) and 2012 team in runs scored (31) … His 68 games and starts, 96 hits, 196 assists at second base and 19 hit by pitches all rank third all-time in UL single-season lists, and also ranks fourth in at-bats (264) and fifth in total bases (149) from that season … Career totals of 472 assists and 36 hit batsmen are both fourth in career listings … Team won 101 games in his final two years, the most successful back-to-back seasons in school history, and compiled 124-50 record in his three playing season … Three-time Sun Belt academic Honor Roll selection in 2012, 2013 and 2014 … Drafted in 13th round of major league baseball draft by Tampa Bay after 2014 season, bypassing his senior year to turn pro.
