Gene Hebert (Weightlifting 1959-64) received his Master of Education in Music from USL in 1965. He was a four-year letterman in gymnastics and a two-year letterman in weightlifting (following the sanctioning of the sport by AD Whitey Urban). Gene was the Bantam Weight National Champion in 1963 and 1964. Hebert won more than 20 titles throughout his career at USL.
