Danny Cottonham

Cottonham, who earned degrees from UL in 1977 and 1987, began his service to the University in July of 1977 as Assistant Dean of Student Personnel before being hired as the first-ever director of the UL Student-Athlete Academic Center in 1982. He would serve as director for 30 years, retiring from the post in 2012. Cottonham was honored by the University in 2009 with the President's Cup, for dedication and commitment to the excellence of Ragin' Cajuns student-athletes.
