Basketball Priority Season Ticket Renewal Deadline Set

LAFAYETTE - With the 2012-13 Ragin' Cajuns athletic season beginning, fans are making plans to reserve their season tickets for their favorite sports.  Interest in Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball season tickets always picks up with the arrival of the fall season.  

The Ragin' Cajuns Ticket Office located in the CAJUNDOME has received a number of requests for additional season tickets and seating upgrades from current season ticket holders, plus inquiries for reserved seating from new season ticket holders.  In order to fairly allocate these limited seating resources, the level of giving to the Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Foundation 2012 Annual Fund will now be considered.  

“As we move closer to the basketball season, we have set an September 4th deadline for those who wish to renew their season tickets for basketball,” said Matt Casbon, Ragin' Cajuns Ticket Manager.  “Fans who wish to purchase new tickets, upgrade their current seat location or wish to purchase priority reserved tickets, the allocation of seats will be made according to their level of giving to the 2012 RCAF Annual Fund by September 4th.  All unpaid season tickets for men's basketball will be released for sale at 5 p.m. on September 4th.””  

Increasing both the season ticket and RCAF Annual Fund base are key components in the UL Athletic Department's drive to reach the next level of college athletic competition.  As the costs associated with competing for conference and NCAA championships escalate, enhanced revenue received via ticket sales and fundraising is crucial.  The RCAF was created to raise funds to serve as a foundation for the financial support for the UL Athletics.
