Soccer Collects Title at Louisiana Spring College Cup

LAFAYETTE – The Ragin' Cajuns women's soccer team claimed the championship of the 5^th Annual Louisiana Spring College Cup held at Moore Park on Saturday, March 3.

Louisiana picked up four shutouts with junior goalkeeper Amanda Moorefield in goal.

In the championship match with Northwestern State, sophomore Shelby Isley netted the game winner in the last minute of play to secure the title.

Participating teams included the Cajuns, Nicholls State, McNeese State, Northwestern State and La.-Monroe.

The event, which used an 11-on-11 format, was hosted by the Cajun Soccer Club in conjunction with their Hub City Ford Youth Tournament.
