For going on five years, Denee Simon has served as an office manager within the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Department of Athletics.
Simon began her administrative assistant’s role working solely with the nationally ranked Louisiana Softball program in February 2016. In recent years, her duties have been expanded to include providing support to the men’s and women’s tennis program as well as the marketing and broadcasting department.
She assists in the day-to-day administrative operations of each department she works for.
Simon worked in the private sector prior to her current tenure at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. For 20 years she was the office manager at Edward J. Milligan, Jr. Ltd., her father’s law firm until his passing in 2012. She also owned and operated Denee's Styling Cottage prior to joining her father’s firm.
A 1992 graduate of Acadiana High School, Simon would go on to pursue a nursing degree at then-USL.
She enjoys weekends at the lake, fishing, gardening, crafting, attending activities with my kids and most importantly cheering on her Ragin Cajuns.
Born and raised in the Lafayette area, Simon currently resides in the city. She is the mother of Austin and Brookelyn Simon.
