2011 (Sophomore): Played in two games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams, seeing action against La.-Monroe and Troy. . . voted the team’s Brian Mitchell Special Forces Special Teams Player of the Year. . . earned second letter.
2010 (Freshman): Saw action in four of the final five games of the season on special teams. . . member of the Sun Belt Conference Honor Roll.
2009 (Redshirt): Redshirted, did not play. . . twice named defensive scout team player of the week.
High School: Two-year regular as a blocking tight end at Destrehan High, playing for coach Stephen Robichaux. . . helped team to a 29-0 record during his two seasons, winning two Class 5A state titles. . . was a reserve on the team that went 15-0 during his junior season and started on the 14-0 team his senior campaign. . . also played track and soccer, running the mile in track and played goalkeeper in soccer. . .
Personal: Born Nov. 19, 1990 in Houston, Texas and also lived in Benton, Ill. . . . Son of Scott and Dana MacCord. . . is the oldest of five children, having two brothers (Josh & Trey) and two sisters (Rosie and Rylea). . . represents the football team on the UL Student-Athlete Advisory Council. . . was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in high school . . . is a member of Chi Alpha campus services ministries at UL. . . general exercise science major.
