Named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association co-Freshman of the Year ... finished as the Ragin' Cajuns' top runner in all six events he competed in as a freshman, earning three top-10 finishes in the process ... twice named the Sun Belt Conference Male Runner of the Week ... finished second overall to lead Ragin' Cajuns at the Azalea City Classic, completing the 8K course in 24:55.52 ... placed eighth overall at the McNeese State Cowboy Stampede (20:20.4) and 10th at the Florida State Invitational (25:35.7).
High school
A three-time All-State selection in cross country at West Monroe High School … helped WMHS to the 2012 Class 5A state cross country championship, finishing second individually … set the WMHS record in the 3-mile run (15:04).
