Louisiana Golf Heads To Southern Collegiate Match Play

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Coming off of a victory at the Lake Charles Invitational, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team returns action this weekend as the team heads to the second annual Southern Collegiate Match Play on Saturday at the par-71, 6,902-yard Hattiesburg Country Club.

Host Southern Miss, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech and South Alabama will participate in the match play event.

The morning matches start at 8 a.m. and include Southern Miss facing Conference USA rival Louisiana Tech, while the Ragin' Cajuns will face the Jaguars.

The winners of the morning matches will tee off at 1:05 p.m. in the winner's bracket match. The losing sides will face off in a loser's bracket match starting at 12:30 p.m.

The format for the match play will see five players from each team play head-to-head with the first squad to three individual wins claiming the match.

Jack Tolson, Bjorn Gudjonsson, Peter Hinnant, Triston Elston and Cole Kendrick make up the lineup for Louisiana.
