LAFAYETTE – Riding a three-match winning streak, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team (14-7) hits the road for two matches in San Marcos, Texas, starting with the Arkansas State Red Wolves, on Friday, Apr. 6, and they'll wrap up the weekend with a match against the UT Arlington Lady Mavericks on Saturday, Apr. 7.

STARTING TIMES: Louisiana's match against Arkansas State, on Friday, will begin at 10 a.m. and their Saturday match against UT Arlington will get started at 2 p.m.  Live stats for either match will not be available.

LAST TIME OUT: On senior day, where the Cajuns honored seniors Kelly Drew, Abby Johnson and Elena Sava, the Cajuns took down Prairie View A&M, 7-0.  Louisiana won all six singles matches, and they only dropped one set on the day.  It made for a perfect senior day for the three Cajuns' seniors as they all got wins in singles, including Drew clinching things at No. 1.

GARCIA IS ON FIRE: Cajuns sophomore Marina Rodriguez Garcia, has won her past six matches, and she sits at 11-5 on the season.  It's impressive to see since this is her first full season, having torn her ACL during her first spring match of the 2017 season, and she's 6-1 over her last 10 matches.

DREW AND GARCIA MAKE A STRONG PAIR: In doubles, Drew and Garcia have been almost unstoppable, they're 9-3 together this season and they've won six straight matches.  They're 8-2 over the last 10 matches and they've locked down the No. 3 slot in doubles owning an 8-3 record in that spot.

MATCHING 2013: Louisiana's 14 wins are the most they've had since the 2013 season where they finished 14-12 and a win this weekend would give them the most wins they've had since going 16-10 in 2008.

WHAT THE RED WOLVES BRING: Arkansas State enters Friday's match against the Cajuns sitting at 5-12, but they're coming off a win against Grambling State on Mar. 31.  The Cajuns have won the past three matchups with the Red Wolves, and when looking back to 2005 the Cajuns have won 11 out of the past 12 match ups between the two schools.  This will be the second time the two teams have met in San Marcos, with the Cajuns winning 4-2 in 2016.

WHAT THE LADY MAVS BRING: UT Arlington's first match of the weekend will be against the Cajuns and they'll enter that match sitting at 8-7, and they've grabbed three wins against Sun Belt Conference opponents so far this season.  Although the Lady Mavs lost their previous match against the SMU Mustangs, on Apr. 4, the had won their previous two matches, both against SBC competition.  The Cajuns haven't beaten the Lady Mavs since 2010, and they've lost the previous four matchups they've had with UTA.
