Â
Sliman's Thoughts
Â
"This golf course continues to play very tough as you can see from the scores after two rounds. I was really impressed with the way we came out on fire to start today's round. We really put ourselves into a great position to end the day inside the top 4. Unfortunately we let the round slip away from us in the final two holes. By no means are we out of this. We are more than capable of qualifying for match play if we can get off to the same start as we did today and finish the round strong.
Â
"I'm really proud of the way Cole Kendrick stepped up and posted his low career round in his first appearance at the Sun Belt Conference Championship. Hopefully the other guys on the team can follow his lead tomorrow and move us up the leaderboard."
Â
Kendrick Cards Career Low Round
Â
Freshman Cole Kendrick carded his career low round on Tuesday firing a 67 (-4) in the second round to move up 33 spots into a tie for 16th with an overall score of 5-over (147). The round is the second of the year in the 60s for Kendrick who posted six birdies on the day including four in the first five holes.
