Ragin' Cajuns Wrap Up Action At Auburn Tiger Track Classic

Cajuns set six personal-bests in 27-team event
AUBURN, Ala. – Shaquille Singuineau set a personal-best in the men's shot put, finishing second overall with a throw of 54 feet, 1 ¼ inches, and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team set six personal bests to conclude action on Saturday at the Tiger Track Classic at Auburn's Hutsell-Rosen Track.
Richard Delphin and Kyle Baudoin each posted fourth-place performances in their respective events as Louisiana wrapped up the two-day meet in the 27-team meet that featured host Auburn and included five Sun Belt Conference schools.
Singuineau led a trio of Ragin' Cajuns to top-10 finishes in the shot put after recording the sixth-best throw in the Sun Belt Conference this season. Dominique Williams finished ninth overall for Louisiana with Zach Lewis finishing 10th at 49-3.
The Ragin' Cajuns picked up three personal-bests performances in the women's 3,000-meter run as Courtney Broussard finished 10th (10:38.38), freshman Ally McCulley 11th (10:46.74) and Hailey Hesterman 12th (10:46.99). Louisiana's Victoria Wayne established a new personal-best in the women's 400-meter hurdles (1:02.94) with Kemondrick Walter matching a personal-best in the men's 400-meter dash (48.61).
Delphin, who posted the third-best mark in the hammer throw (183-7) in school history on Friday, capped off an impressive weekend for the Ragin' Cajuns, finishing fourth overall in the discus (157-11). Baudoin recorded the fourth-best mark in the men's pole vault in the Sun Belt Conference after clearing the bar at 16-8 ¾.
Angus Sinclair cleared the bar at 6-6 ¾ in the men's high jump to finish eighth overall for Louisiana with freshman George Femmer earning a sixth-place finish in the men's 3,000-meter run (9:17.33) and Stanley Limoh finishing ninth in the 800-meter run (1:53.87).
Louisiana will return to action on Saturday (April 21) when it travels to Baton Rouge to compete at the LSU Alumni Gold meet at Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
