Saturday's Softball Contest at Lamson Park Cancelled

No. 21 Louisiana and No. 24 Texas State will now begin series on Sunday in 12 p.m. doubleheader
LAFAYETTE – Inclement weather has cancelled Saturday's scheduled contest between 21st-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball and No. 24 Texas State at Lamson Park.

The Ragin' Cajuns (26-10, 12-3 Sun Belt) and Bobcats (30-8, 11-0 Sun Belt) will now begin their Sun Belt Conference series on Sunday in a 12 p.m. doubleheader.
Ragin' Cajuns Softball season ticket holders will use their Sunday ticket for admission. Individuals who purchased single game tickets for Saturday can redeem those for a general admission ticket to the doubleheader.

No official determination has been made on the status of the third game of the series.

Fans can hear Sunday's doubleheader on SportsRadio ESPN 1420-AM in the Acadiana region and worldwide on the ESPN 1420 app. A live broadcast will air on Cox Sports Television and be simulcast on ESPN3 outside of the CST viewing areas.

The series features the Sun Belt Conference's two nationally ranked programs. Louisiana seeks to close the current three-game gap in the loss column that Texas State holds in the league standings.
