Schedule Revised for Softball Series With Texas State

LAFAYETTE – Based upon the weather forecast for Saturday morning and afternoon, the schedule for the Sun Belt Conference series featuring No. 21 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball and No. 24 Texas State at Lamson Park has been revised.

The Ragin' Cajuns (26-10, 12-3 Sun Belt) and Bobcats (30-8, 11-0 Sun Belt) will now begin the series with a single game at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The two teams will wrap up the series with a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 12 p.m.

Fans can hear the entire series on SportsRadio ESPN 1420-AM in the Acadiana region and worldwide on the ESPN 1420 app. Sunday's doubleheader will be broadcast on Cox Sports Television and simulcast on ESPN3 outside of the CST viewing areas.

The weekend series features the Sun Belt Conference's two nationally ranked programs. Louisiana seeks to close the current three-game gap in the loss column that Texas State holds in the league standings.

All planned promotions for the weekend set remain the same. Saturday is Youth Softball Day and Faculty/Staff Appreciation, while Sunday is Daddy-Daughter Day.
