Louisiana opens its final month of preparation heading into next month's Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships with meets at Auburn, LSU (April 21) and Memphis (April 27-28). In their previous meet at Texas State, the Ragin' Cajuns received first-place performances from Sven Glueck (decathlon), MacKenzie Marze (women's javelin) and Frankie Griffin (women's high jump) during the three-day competition, along with solid showings from Alex Morrow (heptathlon), Hunter Stelly (men's javelin) and Jonathan Kimutai (men's 1,500-meter run).

Morrow, who posted the fifth-best score (4,674 points) in the women's heptathlon at the Bobcat Invitational, is slated to compete in three events for Louisiana – the 100-meter hurdles, the long jump and the 4x400-meter relay. Newcomer Juliette Smith will have the busiest weekend for the Ragin' Cajuns, competing in the 100-meter hurdles, the shot put, long jump and 4x100-meter relay.

Smith will be joined in the 4x100-meter relay by a pair of three-event competitors – Erica Stewart (100-meters, 200-meters, 4x100-meter relay) and Vanessa Joseph (100-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles, 4x100-meter relay) and senior Dajah Guidry, who will also compete in the 100-meter dash.

Glueck, ranked third in the Sun Belt Conference in the high jump (6-9 ½) will be one of four Ragin' Cajuns to compete in a trio of events on the men's side (long jump, high jump, 4x400-meter relay). Chandler Mixon (long jump, 100-meter dash, 4x400-meter relay), Tyler Hughes (110-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash, 4x400-meter relay) and Dominique Williams (shot put, discus, hammer throw) will compete in three events for Louisiana with Kyle Baudoin (men's pole vault), Stanley Limoh (800-meter run) and Angus Sinclair (men's high jump) looking to move up the Sun Belt rankings in their respective events.
