LAFAYETTE – On Saturday, Mar. 31, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team (13-7) will play their final home match of the 2018 season on senior day when they welcome the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers to Cajun Courts with the match starting at 11 a.m.

HOW TO TRACK THE MATCH: Live stats will be provided via ragincajuns.com and links can be found on the home page and the women's tennis schedule page.

SENIOR DAY CEREMONIES: The Cajuns will honor three seniors, Kelly Drew, Abby Johnson and Elena Sava, with the ceremony beginning at 10:50 a.m. before the start of the match.

LAST TIME OUT: Louisiana last played on Thursday, Mar. 29, sweeping the Jackson State Lady Tigers, 4-0, 4-1, in what was the third attempt to play a match that was rescheduled twice before.  Johnson snagged two wins on the day, while sophomore Marina Rodriguez Garcia got her fifth clinching win of the season to help the Cajuns get their third win in the past four matches.

PROFILING THE CAJUNS SENIORS: Kelly Drew, Abby Johnson and Elena Sava will all play their last match on Cajun Courts and they've each been an important part of the Cajuns growth over the past four seasons.

Kelly Drew: A product of Auckland, New Zealand, Drew has been a productive force for the Cajuns over the past four seasons.  Drew's been named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioners List twice in her career and she's racked up a combined career record of 73-68 (36-40 in singles and 37-28 in doubles) and during her sophomore season she was named to the All-SBC Second Team in doubles after putting together a 15-4 record in doubles.

She's had two wins over ranked opponents in singles, the first coming during her sophomore season when she took down NC State's Martina Frantova, who was ranked No. 67 at the time.  And this season she took down South Alabama's Alexandria Stiteler, who came into the match ranked No. 90.  Drew's production on the court will be missed by the Cajuns following the New Zealander's graduation.

Abby Johnson: Hailing from Baton Rouge, La., Johnson has seen significant time on the courts for the Cajuns during all four of her years at Louisiana.  She's snagged 27 career wins in singles and 34 wins in double during her time as a Cajuns player.  She was named to the SBC Commissioner's List following her freshman season, and during her sophomore season Johnson went 10-8 in doubles.

Johnson's senior season has been her best in doubles so far, and she's bringing a 12-8 record in doubles into her final match at Cajun Courts and she's currently ridding a three-match winning streak, all without dropping a set.  Johnson's enthusiastic attitude will be missed on the courts, along with her leadership that she's brought to the Cajuns over the past four seasons.

Elena Sava: A native of Bradenton, Fla., Sava has shown grit and determination throughout her career at Louisiana.  Suffering a season ending knee injury following the fall of her junior season, Sava battled back to return for her senior season, getting her first action at the tail end of the 2017 fall season.

During her career she's gotten 19 wins in singles and 29 wins in doubles and was named to the SBC Academic Honor Roll following both her freshman and junior seasons.  During her sophomore season Sava knocked off NC State's Joanna Nalborska, ranked No. 67, in a three-set battle where she stormed back after dropping the first set to win the match in a third set tiebreaker (7-6 (7)).  It was a sign of things to come and Sava's ability to bounce back from adversity and the example she set for her teammates in returning from injury will be missed by the team in the years to come.

WHAT THE LADY PANTHERS BRING: PVAMU enters the match sitting at 7-15, but they've won their previous three matches and five out of their last six matches.  These two teams have already met on the court, with the Cajuns sweeping the Lady Panthers in Prairie View, Texas back on Mar. 10.  This will be the sixth time in history that the two schools have met, and the Cajuns are 5-0 all-time against the Lady Panthers.
