Volleyball Continues Spring Tournament Play Saturday at Tulane

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball travels to New Orleans on Saturday, March 17 to compete in a spring season tournament at Tulane's Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse.
The Ragin' Cajuns will face host-Tulane and Nicholls in the round robin event. The matches will be played using a best-of-three format.
Admission for the event is free and open to the public. Fogelman Arena at Devlin Fieldhouse is located at 6811 Freret St., on the Tulane campus.
Louisiana's schedule of matches is as follows:
10:30 a.m. vs. Tulane Blue
12:30 p.m. vs. Nicholls
2 p.m. vs. Tulane Green
Saturday's event marks the Ragin' Cajuns second playing date in the spring 2018 non-championship segment. The squad hosted its annual spring tournament at Earl K. Long Gym back on March 3 to kick off the spring season.
The Ragin' Cajuns (21-11, 13-3 SBC in 2017) are seeking to build upon the program's finest season in the Sun Belt Conference era (1991-present). During the 2017 season, the squad raced out to a school-record 7-0 start in league play, posted the first winning conference mark since 2002 and set the school record for SBC wins. The reward was the program's highest seed ever (No. 3) in the SBC Tournament.
Head coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot, preparing for the 11th season of her tenure, has a roster that features three returning All-Sun Belt Conference performers in middle blocker Dree'Ana Abram, libero Sydney Davis and 2017 SBC Freshman of the Year Hali Wisnoskie.

Spring tournament play concludes in April with trips to Houston (April 14) and Baton Rouge (April 21).
The Ragin' Cajuns are set to compete in the 8th Annual F.A.S.T. Complex Collegiate Invitational in Houston on April 14 and in a tournament hosted by LSU on April 21.
