Cajuns Men’s Tennis Doubles Team Earns National Ranking

LAFAYETTE, La. – The duo of senior Rick de Groot and sophomore Jake Wynan jumped into the ITA National Doubles Rankings this week coming in at No. 76 after going 9-3 this spring, the ITA announced on Tuesday.
 
The pair is coming off of a 6-5 defeat of 29th-ranked Joel Rubio and Tomas Stillman of UTSA. Wynan and deGroot have won their last four decisions and are 4-1 at the No. 1 position this season.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns remained at No. 63 as a team in the latest ITA Division I Poll after a week with no action. Louisiana gets back on the court this weekend with a pair of road matches against Southern Miss and New Orleans.
 
The Cajuns head to Hattiesburg, Miss. on Saturday at 2 p.m. for a match with the Golden Eagles before closing out the regular season against the Privateers on Sunday at 11 a.m.
