Justin Anderson Added To Senior Bowl Roster

LAFAYETTE, La. -- Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns senior linebacker Justin Anderson has been added to the Reese's Senior Bowl roster and will be in uniform when it is played on Saturday, Jan. 25 beginning at 3:00 p.m. CST in Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.  The game will be televised nationally on the NFL Network.

Anderson becomes the seventh player to appear in the Senior Bowl, joining Elton Slater (1987), Chris Gannon (1989), Orlando Thomas (1995), Anthony Clement (1998), Bill Bentley (2012) and Ladarius Green (2012.

"This is a great honor for Justin, one that he has earned through years of hard work and sweat, both on the field and in the weight room," Louisiana head coach Mark Hudspeth said.  "Justin was one of the best defensive players in the Sun Belt this past year and his efforts helped us win the SBC title and make our third straight New Orleans Bowl appearance.

"I look forward to watching take this first step towards a professional career," Hudpeth added.

A 6-2, 232 pound linebacker from Foley, Ala., Earned first team All-Sun Belt honors as a senior after leading the league with 131 tackles.  He ended the season ranked 13th nationally in solo tackles (5.9) and 14th in total tackles (10.1), adding 11 tackles for loss, three fumbles forced, three fumbles recovered and an interception.

A two-year starter, Anderson ended his career with 257 career tackles (165 solo), including two seasons of 100 or more tackles.
