Weather Pushes Louisiana-South Alabama Contest to Friday

LAFAYETTE – Lightning suspended play in the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Championship Thursday evening at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field moving the Ragin' Cajuns baseball team's contest with South Alabama to Friday.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns (39-17) and Jaguars (41-16) winner's bracket contest is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will be broadcast on 96.5 FM. A live webcast will be available at SunBeltSports.org.

Fans who purchased a single game ticket (not a booklet) for Game 8 of the Sun Belt Baseball Tournament featuring UL and South Alabama and are unable to attend the contest at 12:30 p.m. on Friday can redeem that ticket for one to the Cajuns' next game in the tournament (either Friday at 7:30 p.m. or Saturday at 12:30 p.m.).
 
Before the teams take the field the Troy-FAU winner's bracket game tied 1-1 in Top 9 will be resumed at 11 a.m.
 
Sun Belt Tournament action will continue after the completion of the UL-USA contest with Game 9 set for 4 p.m. featuring Arkansas State against the Troy-FAU loser.
 
The Cajuns-Jaguars loser will be sent into an elimination game against FIU at 7:30 p.m.

Game 7 – 11 a.m. – Troy 1, FAU 1 (Top 9, 2 outs)
Game 8 – 12:30 p.m. – Louisiana vs. South Alabama
Game 9 – 4 p.m. – Arkansas State vs. Troy-FAU loser
Game 10 – 7:30 p.m. – FIU vs. Louisiana-South Alabama loser
 
Saturday, May 25
Game 11 – 9 a.m. – Game 7 winner vs. Game 9 winner
Game 12 – 12:30 p.m. – Game 8 winner vs. Game 10 winner
Game 13 – 4 p.m. – Game 11 loser vs. Game 11 winner (if necessary)
Game 14 – 7:30 p.m. – Game 12 loser vs. Game 12 winner (if necessary)
 
Sunday, May 26
Championship Game – 1 p.m. – Game 11 winner vs. Game 12 winner
