New Baseball Scoreboard Construction Underway

LAFAYETTE - The process to install a new scoreboard at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field complete with HD video screen and LED scoreboard display began on Monday, May 13.

Work crews began unloading the segments of the new scoreboard, constructed by Daktronics, early Monday morning and demolition of the existing scoreboard began shortly thereafter.

The construction process is expected to be completed by next Monday afternoon (May 20).

Funds for the project were donated to the Ragin' Cajuns baseball program by Russo Exploration.

Fans will be able to track the process of the new scoreboard installation on the construction cam at RaginCajuns.com. Picture updates will be posted to the Ragin' Cajuns Athletics Department's Facebook (facebook.com/RaginCajunsAthletics) and Twitter (@ULRaginCajuns) outlets.

The new scoreboard will make its debut during the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Tournament hosted at "The Tigue" Wednesday-Sunday, May 22-26.
