LAFAYETTE,  La. – Due to the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac, there will be changes to parking for this Saturday's football season opener against Lamar at Cajun Field.

The lot behind the Hilton Garden Inn that is usually used for overflow parking, will not be available.  This means that overflow fan parking will be moved to Cajundome, Blackham Coliseum, Bourgeois Hall and South Louisiana Community College parking lots.

Shuttle buses will run from SLCC to Cajun Field beginning at noon Saturday and will continue after the game.  Fans will enter the SLCC parking lots by taking Bertrand Dr. to Devalcourt St.

Parking and transit will have designated bus stops set up in each lot.  Fans will only be picked up in these designated areas.

Fans cal also walk to Cajun Field from SLCC by using the designated route determined by University Police to ensure they are taking the safest route possible.

Due to the shortened week because of the hurricane, Will Call will open starting at 12:00 noon at the box office at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field.

Tickets will go on sale on Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m. at the box office at Gate C and at 12:00 noon at  Gates D & E.

Other reminder to fans:

•  All parking on the west side of Cajun Field is now reserved.  A RCAF parking or tailgating pass is required to enter this area, even to drop off tailgating supplies.

•  Free parking is located on a first come, first served basis in the north and east Cajun Field lots.

•  Over flow lots are located at the Cajundome, Blackham Coliseum, Bourgeois Hall, and the South Louisiana Community College.

•  There is a no re-entry policy in effect for all lots surrounding Cajun Field.  Once fans have their parking pass punched, they will not be permitted to re-enter the lot.  They will be directed to an overflow lot.

•  Trailers are not allowed to park in Cajun Field parking lots.  If you have a reserved tailgating pass on the vehicle the trailer is connected to, you can park it in your tailgating spot, or park it in the print shop lot.

•  Motorized carts are prohibited. Only event staff working at the game are allowed to use motorized carts of any kind.

•  Because of the excessive rain this week, we ask that all tailgaters use caution and take care when setting up and parking, especially in areas that are near ditches or areas that hold water.
