Volleyball's Trip to Jackson Postponed

LAFAYETTE - With the impending intensifying of Tropical Storm Isaac into a hurricane, the Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team has postponed its Tuesday match against Jackson State.

Louisiana (1-2) was scheduled to travel to Jackson, Miss., on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. meeting with the Tigers.

The Cajuns will not make the trip and now turn their focus to the Bon Temps Invitational set for Friday-Saturday, Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at Earl K. Long Gym.

Both coaching staffs are working toward finding a date to reschedule the match.

All other Ragin' Cajuns athletics events scheduled for this weekend will still be contested as planned. Athletics Department officials will continue to monitor the situation involving Tropical Storm Isaac, with any changes to any contests announced as soon as possible.
