Vote Christi Orgeron for Premier Player of College Softball

TEMPE, Ariz. – Christi Orgeron is a candidate for another major award as she has been selected as a top 25 finalist for The 2012 Premier Player of College Softball trophy.
Fans can vote by computer or smart phone at www.premierplayers.com by May 31st. The five players with the largest number of votes at the end of May will be placed into a new poll for the months of June and July. The winner will be announced in July.
Orgeron has led the Cajuns to a 52-4 mark and a regional championship last weekend. For the second consecutive season, the fifth-year senior leads the country with 94 RBI and was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year. The New Orleans, La. native was named to the first team All-Central Region and is a Top 10 Finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
UL will face Arizona State this evening in the first game of the Tempe Super Regional at 9:00 p.m. CDT. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN2 and will be available on ESPN3.
