Cajuns Jump to No. 6 in RPI, Remain No. 8 in Both Polls

LAFAYETTE, La. -- Despite being idle for the week, the Louisiana softball team jumped one spot to No. 6 in the Rating Percentage Index (RPI) for this week. The top 16 teams in the RPI at the end of the season will be granted the right to host a postseason regional tournament.
UL (30-1, 5-1) remained locked in at No. 8 for the third consecutive week in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Polls, which were released Tuesday.

The Cajuns have not seen the field since March 25, in which they took two of the three games in the series at Troy.
Louisiana will return to action after their 10 day layoff on Wednesday, April 4, against in state rival McNeese State at Cowgirl Diamond in Lake Charles, La.
