Cajuns Fall in Regular Season Finale, 6-1

CONWAY, S.C. – The Ragin' Cajuns dropped a 6-1 decision in the final regular season dual match of the year to Coastal Carolina on Tuesday afternoon at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center in Conway, S.C.

The Chanticleers swept play in doubles competition claiming the first point of the match at No.2 doubles as Mikaela Kristoffersson and Katie Fosnacht defeated Tara Vasovic and Sophie van den Aarssen 8-2.

In singles play, Coastal Carolina clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win by Fosnacht over Vasovic at No.4.

The Cajuns lone point came at No.3 singles as van den Aarssen defeated Kristoffersson in three sets, 6-4, 0-6, 10-7. The win is van den Aarssen's eighth of the season.

Next up for UL is the conference tournament as the Cajuns head to Denton, Texas on April 19 for the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tennis Championships.
