Another Tourney Under the Belt: The Ragin' Cajuns won their second tournament of the year finishing first in the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Invitational last weekend with a record of 4-0. UL had wins over UTEP, Northwestern, Louisiana Tech and Northwestern State. 
 
Flashing Dominance: Louisiana has outscored their first seven opponents 91-10, while playing a full seven innings just once. The squad has a 17-1 homerun advantage and have driven in 81 runs compared to their opposition's seven RBI.
 
Cajuns Crack Top 20: UL moved up three spots in both polls that were released on Monday. The Ragin' Cajuns come in at No. 17 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll and No. 18 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
 
Familiar Foes: Louisiana has played all five teams they will be facing in the Leadoff Classic this weekend. The Cajuns are 10-3 against Mississippi State, 5-1 against Hofstra, 2-0 against Boston University, 5-4 against Michigan and 1-0 against Winthrop.
 
Cajuns Honored at MGI: Christi Orgeron and Jordan Wallace were named Co-MVP's of the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Invitational, while Matte Haack, Erikka MurphyKatie Smith and Ashley Brignac joined them on the All-Tournament Team.
 
Orgeron Recognized: Orgeron was selected as the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Week and was tabbed as the SBC and LSWA POW for the second straight week. The New Orleans native completed the weekend with a batting average of .615, four homeruns, 15 RBI, nine runs, 22 total bases, 1.692 slugging percentage and an on base percentage of .625.
 
Grand Fashion: Orgeron launched two grand slams over the weekend giving the Cajuns three on the season.
 
Setting the Table: Katie Smith has led off in six of the first seven games for the Cajuns. Smith hit .385 in the tournament, while reaching base at a rate of .500 and was 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts. The senior has scored 13 runs on the year and is fourth all-time in the SBC.
 
No-No: Freshman Jordan Wallace hurled the 80th no-hitter in Ragin Cajun's history with her six inning 9-0 shutout of Louisiana Tech. Wallace threw a total of nine innings over the weekend striking out 12 hitters, while allowing just three hits and one earned run.
 
Doubles Galore: Orgeron has 54 career doubles and ranks first in the history of the SBC which started in 2000. Orgeron needs eight doubles to pass Kathy Morton for third all-time in UL history.
 
Mowing 'em Down: Ashley Brignac has 698 strikeouts and has moved into fourth all-time in the SBC career records. The senior needs 30 more punch outs to move into third place all-time.
 
RBI Machine: Orgeron's 15 RBI in the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Invitational gives her 221 in her career, tying her for fourth all-time in SBC and Ragin' Cajuns history. She needs just three more RBI to moved into third place.
