LAFAYETTE – The Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team hosts in-state rival UL-Monroe at Earl K. Long Gym on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. in its annual “Dig Pink Match” to help raise awareness for breast cancer research.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Ragin' Cajuns will wear pink accessories with their uniforms. During the match pink novelty items will be given away to fans in attendance.

In a special and unique twist, head coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot's squad is decorating pumpkins with breast cancer awareness themes.

As fans enter Earl K. Long Gym, they will be allowed to judge and cast a vote for their favorite pumpkin.

Saturday's match is the first of two key Sun Belt matches for UL at Earl K. Long Gym. The Cajuns, one game out of first place in the division, also host North Texas on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.

Tickets for the “Dig Pink Match” and the North Texas match are available at the ticket window located at the front entrance of Earl K. Long Gym on gameday. Prices are $6 for adults and $4 for children.
